14th Annual Young Inventor Challenge November 23, 2019!

The Young Inventor Challenge, held annually as a part of Chicago Toy and Game Week, is a design competition that inspires kids ages 6 to 18 to use creativity, critical thinking, and STEAM skills in the invention and innovation process. This awesome completion provides an opportunity for kids to showcase their original toy or game inventions to toy industry professionals, while building imagination and presentation skills. And, get this… kids even have a chance of their toy or game getting published! Just ask Edie, Tiggy and Ellie!

Goo on My Shoe, invented by Edie P.

Watch out for the icky, sticky, nasty stuff as you move along the game board path. Spin the spinner to see if you get to add goo and "get" another player, remove goo from your shoe, or move ahead to a spot where you step in goo! For 2 to 4 players, ages 4 and up. Published by Playmonster.

Draw Into Crime, invented by Tiggy S.

You need to help solve a crime and find the perpetrator! Use your detective skills to ask good questions, while the witness answers "yes" or "no" to give you an idea of what the suspect looks like. Make sketches of the suspect, trying to get as close as you can to the criminal! For 3 or more players, ages 6 and up. Published by Playmonster.

GalactiQuest, invented by Ellie S.

Prepare to blast off and challenge opponents as you battle for the galaxy!

Fortify your defenses and gain power to conquer the most planets and win!

Gameplay helps develop strategic thinking. For 2-4 players, ages 7 and up. Published by Pressman.

The 14th Annual Young Inventor Challenge is a unique and educational experience that ignites imagination. Registration DEADLINE is October 31st and the deadline for complete submissions is 9:00 am November 11th. Join us. Because you never know... Your creation may end up on toy store shelves just like Edie, Tiggy and Ellie!
