New website! New Newsletter! New Event Mix!
It took a year to combine our seven websites into one comprehensive website. You can view it here Hats off to Supriya Perera and her global team for making it happen. We welcome all comments, suggestions and registrations!
We’ve got exciting event changes, too! Our Inventor Conference attendees missed the networking pub night at D4, so we brought it back! PlayCHIC has been combined with the TAGIEs to create an even more spectacular evening with over-the-top fun, glamour, innovation and celebration. The fun doesn’t end there; watch our newsletters, social media and PR releases. We will be announcing incredible new partnerships and events.
November is around the corner and prices increase on August 1st, so don’t wait to get involved!
Congrats to the ASTRA Team for their enormous success in Denver last month. They attracted over 400 exhibitors and loads of excitement, including the awesome Fat Brain Toys sponsored Opening Night Party. Fat Brain Toys has expanded ‘geo’metrically since their start, so we had to interview Mark for this newsletter.
Can Fat Brain’s Mark Carson Tie a Cherry Stem with His Tongue?
Yes he can. And that isn’t even the most interesting or off-the-road bit about Mark. For starters, I love that he and his wife went to preschool all the way through high school together (so romantic). When his 10 year old son suggested he start selling toys online Mark listened and founded Fat Brain Toys. Another Mark tidbit, he listens to Weird Al Yankovic in the car. And, there is more. I’ve known Mark for many years, but I never really knew Mark apparently! Read on...
Ashley Mady Upside Down on the Aerial Yoga Silk Swing
Yes, you read that right. Ashley practices yoga on a silk swing, even upside down. She also has a 20 foot tall chalkboard wall in her living room. I love that her company Brandberry, which she founded in 2009, employs her dog Faith as Chief Barketing Officer. As busy as she is, she has carved out time in her life to also be President of Women in Toys for the past two years and has led the charge with incredible expansion! Read on...
Sara Farber and Bryan Wilson on Spank the Yeti, Sadie the Savvy Intern and More
I’m glad Sara and Bryan found one another and the world is better for it. They are partners in love, marriage and creative work and run their company Galactic Sneeze together with the help of their daughter Sadie. I first met them four years ago when they launched their SCHMOVIE game at our ChiTAG Fair. Among the many things I learned from their interview is that if you lift a rat by its armpits, twirl it slightly, and blow on its nose, it gets disoriented and won’t bite you. There’s more, but you’ll have to read on...

What Our Attendees Say...
“The entire ChiTAG week of events are incredibly valuable for me and Marbles. Each year, I meet people and companies that have changed my business for the better. As an example, a casual conversation with an inventor at ChiTAG two years ago, evolved into a partnership that created Otrio, the current best selling game at Marbles. A year later, the Target buyer saw Otrio at ChiTAG Fair and decided to add it to their stores as well as some of our other games! Needless to say, ChiTAG is one of the most important events I attend each year.”
- Scott Brown, Co-Founder and Chief Merchant, Marbles the Brain Store
“I found the Inventor and Innovation Conference very informative and helpful with a number of great market insights. So much so that I hope to bring more of my team to the next event!”
- Don Reid, Wiggles 3D Games
